The GW community has a wide variety of options to travel to and from our campuses. Whether you want to visit the National Mall, take a bike to your internship, or grab a vehicle to attend a meeting across town, take advantage of our partnerships.
GW has partnered with Capital Bikeshare to offer you an annual discounted membership so that you have more options to get where you need to go.
At the end of the membership period, there is no obligation to continue riding.

U•Pass Student Transit Program for Metro and Metrobus
The George Washington University has joined the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s (WMATA) U•Pass program providing full-time students with unlimited use of Metrorail and Metrobus for a discounted, flat fee.
Stay up-to-date with WMATA. Check back in frequently as WMATA changes its operating status.
Be sure to update your SmarTrip Card before March 1, 2022 if it was purchased before 2012. Metro is updating their payment system. Click here for more information.
